Fight Night
The plan was to get lots of different clubs to send in selected entries and I would pair them up on size, weight and grade with a suitable partner.
Despite promises from lots of sensei to enter all except Jaga Singh’s club from Middlesborough politely declined when the scene and date was set. So we arranged 25 bouts with Dokan students. Some late entries arrived from Task Stockton who entered 13 students.
The trophies were outstanding quality and every competitor got one. We ended up with 31 bouts, three adult and the rest junior.
There is nothing much else to say except those that didn’t compete missed out big time. As previously stated, the trophies were of exceptional quality and we had two official EKF referee’s in Peter Beeforth and Brian Graham who refereed the event in good spirits.
The night was an overwhelming success and will definitely be a regular Dokan event once or twice a year.
