Spring Grading
01/04/12 Filed in: Gradings
On April the 1st we had our spring grading. Around fifty students graded as this is a smaller event than the summer and winter gradings.
Sensei Mitchinson said "the standard was excellent, especially the green belts. I was really pleased with the overall performance of the students. It's beginning to look like I wanted it to when I originally formed the club over 2 years ago."
Eight grading trophies in two sections were awarded plus two large medals for exceptional effort.
Lower Grades:
Back row: Instructors Tom Daley, Kevan Mitchinson, Paul Goldsmith and Ron Angus.
Front row: Sara Graydon and Abergail Lawson (exceptional effort awards); Mya Armstrong White and Eve Palmer ("Best Grading" Joint 3rd); Tammy Proctor ("Best Grading" 1st); Alex Steadman ("Best Grading" 2nd).
Higher Grades:
"Best Grading" 1st, Hannah Nicholson (3rd from left, back row); "Best Grading" 2nd, Simone Stewart (2nd from left, back row); "Best Grading" Joint 3rd Aidan Young (4th from left, back row) and Kaitlin Marshall (2nd from left, front row).
