Dokan Dippers...
Well done to our intrepid Boxing Day dippers, who not only dragged themselves out of bed to register before 9:00 a.m. but then endured a chilling stroll through the crowds to the beach and ultimately the freezing North Sea.
On a bright sunny Boxing day where the air temperature soared to 3 degrees and the sea temperature was a tropical 2 degrees some hardy Dokan parents went for a splash around with 1,200 people all raising money for various charities.
Glen and Tracey Hunnam, Jason and Lisa Snowdon, Stewart and Kelly Taylor, Dot Proctor and Leanne Mylnek made up Dokan’s bravest parents who, between them, raised an impressive £1,240.00 for the club funds. All have said they can’t wait to do it again next year, when we will put a proper letter out and try to drum up even more support.
Many thanks from all of the Dokan parents and students alike. You have impressed us all.
